Story
Mimi Vert is the creation of Miriam Josi, a designer and fashion model from Switzerland and Ilias Verras, a US entrepreneur of the luxury industry. The line reflects the common vision of the two partners and their experience in the fields of art, fashion and managing of high end brands.
Early days
Miriam’s passion to make jewelry and Ilias background with international brands, lead them establish their own line. They decided to name it Mimi Vert. “Mimi” stands for Miriam’s childhood name and “Vert” for the word green in French. The first pieces were made in silver and later in gold and were produced in limited quantities in their home studio.
The beginning of a brand
While they were in a search of a logo that would be distinctive for the line, a simple picture of Miriam’s eye evolved to the symbol of Mimi Vert. The original image went through different phases of abstraction and it was finally converted into a logo. The attractive appeal of that symbol, soon lead to the creation of the eye collection.
The sky is the limit
This new easy to wear concept in silver, that was easily recognizable, opened the doors to endless possibilities. It changed the course of history for Mimi Vert, from an artistic studio line, to an emerging international brand.
